School Days

The third day back to school and French is already beating me with a stick.  I've been at my homework for hours, minus a break I took halfway through to walk Akiko, and another to eat supper.  But really, two pages tonight plus a take home test!   Still, I love French, and with some hard work (which I should be doing right now -.-)  I know that I will be able to understand it someday.  :)  I actually love the class.  It's so nice- a constant.  It's also great to have a  teacher who knows what they're talking about.  That's the cool thing about this teacher- he went out and worked first, learned through experience by traveling and working different jobs (writing, traveling, working in museums, etc) before he became a teacher.  As a result he knows what he's talking about as someone who has actually bared witness to these things normally does.  He isn't just reading from a textbook, he's looking back on everything that he's done in his life and is reflecting on it, while sharing it with us.   It's so nice to have a teacher that loves and knows what they're talking about.  Even if they do give out buckets of homework.  :)
